Wow…it’s been awhile! We are in the Montreal Black Film Festival!

Montreal here we come!  So nice to be contacted for a screener and to be accepted!  The people who run the Montreal Black Film Fest are great, and we can’t wait to play there!

In Africa for the Academy Awards

So excited to have been given this opporunity for our film.  In Nigeria for the awards where we took home a wonderful statue.  I really want to thank the cast and crew who worked on this film.  I am so proud of how far our film has gone.

Having fun at the Pan African Film Festival!

Just got home from the Night of Tribute at the Pan African Film Festival and it was great!  Was so inspiring seeing all the lifetime achievement award recipients.  The literary achievement recipient wrote an entire book on toilet paper when that was the only way…no excuses!  Phylicia Rashad took home one 2 lifetime achievement awards and I’ve never seen such an elegant woman. 

I’m honoured to have met one of the founders of the fest!

ANOTHER FESTIVAL!

Suicide Dolls was accepted to the Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles, CA.  Yay!  We are excited to hang out with all of the cast and crew.

We won!!

Suicide Dolls won the New Filmmaker Forum!!  Keith Shaw took home an award  for Emerging director.  We are so excited to win this award!  All of the competing films were great and we are excited to be honored in this way.

Day 1 @St. Louis FF

 Day 1 @St. Louis FF has been great!  Had a great time at the filmmaker dinner, and it’s fun to see all of the other competing filmmakers films.  Not only are the other filmmakers great, but the staff at the festival is top notch.  Next up is the party lol.  We are screening tomorrow!!
